Hi Team, we have WC 7520 controller and 2 WNDAP 360 Accesspoints. With firmware updated from controller.
We are facing disconnection issues, almost 4-5 times a day. We have raised a ticket with netgear support (26829028) on 5/5/2016. The issue is still pending.
This is happening on windows 7 with Dell 2520, 3446, Hp 440, Lenovo G580,480,570 Series Laptops.
Hello all first off i am a tech working in the field. We have several clients that use the MAC book air mid 2013 loaded with bootcamp running windows 7 x64. We have been experiancing serveral issues were windows will bluescreen and anylyzing the dump file it reports back that the broadcom wireless 802.11 ac wireless adaptor is the cause of the issue. More specifically the following module was the cause of the BSOD bcmwl664.sys i have searched high and low for an answer to this issue.
I have reloaded the the windows support tools deleted the driver for the AC adaptor deleted the driver and reloaded again. But this does not seem fix the issue.
I cant seem to find a stand alone driver at all for this perticular model at all. Im begining to think that this is not the root of the problem however im at a loss anyone have any idea were to go next? Below is the crash dump file that who crashed reports from. Maybe there is more that i am missing?
Crash dump file: C: Windows Minidump 0-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: (bcmwl664+0x1CD6B) Bugcheck code: 0x1000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF88005642D6B, 0xFFFFF8800317E5E8, 0xFFFFF8800317DE40) Error: file path: C: Windows system32 drivers bcmwl664.sys product: company: description: Broadcom 802.11 Network Adapter wireless driver Bug check description: This indicates that a system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not catch. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error.
It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: bcmwl664.sys (Broadcom 802.11 Network Adapter wireless driver, Broadcom Corporation). Google query. Good luck getting anyone to solve this problem. I'm also in IT and when it's a very isolated issue, there's far less incentive to fix something. This might be a couple years old but it's still an issue. I have a Yoga 3 Pro on Windows 10 with the same adapter. The problem occurs for me when I use any Apple product as a hot spot.

After I connect to the hot spot's WiFi. Windows blue screens. I know it's only Apple's WiFi with this adapter because I've tried my iPhone and iPad and both cause the issue, but if I use public WiFi I have no issues at all. The workaround is to tether the iDevice using USB instead of connecting to it's WiFi.
The wire is annoying but at least there is no BSOD, and you get the added bonus of your device charging (small silver lining). Hope this helps. Apple Footer.
